The Plaza Square

Dooley lay on his back on the ground, his body shuddering from pain.

"I'm just going to lay here and not move. If we're lucky; Belial will come before morning does. If we're not; I'm gonna be a pile of ashes. Hm. Win Win for some people I guess."

((DOrcha and Dooley both receive TWO level-ups for taking their brutal beatdown with dignity!))

Ayda came across Dorcha and Dooley and pick them up and headed back to The Silver Hog ...

"Boy I hope they are okay" trying not be worried...

Dooley chuckled as she dragged him away.

"Oh danny boy, the feds the feds are coooming." He giggled and coughed up more blood.

Out of the fountain, an oddly dressed man emerges, screaming of bollocks and brandishing a curved stick in a particularly menacing fashion. After a moment of silence, the man appears to calm down and hops out of the fountain, muttering incoherently to himself. He stops at a nearby welcome sign, and squints at it for some time. Eventually, he loudly proclaims something about adventurin' as an adventurer. It is unclear who he is talking to. He adjusts his pointy hat and grins, looking expectantly at his surroundings.

Having properly ascertained that the plaza appeared to be empty at the moment, the robed man wandered off in a seemingly random direction, emitting a squeak with each step from his waterlogged boots. A trail of puddles lead to the training area.

Drake heads into the square after getting Maria to their house so she could get some well-deserved rest. As he heads through the square, he feels an odd, disturbing, oppressive aura... one he was familiar with. Shivering, he ducks into an alleyway, waiting for it to pass... instead, it gets stronger. Tensing up, his eyes widen as a man cloaked in black appears near him. Drake glares and grits his teeth. "Sigurd..."

The man named Sigurd opens his strange, opal-colored eyes. "Drake... there you are." he says simply, lowering his hood to reveal a scarred but rather handsome face, with a squared and powerful jaw. "It has been a while." he says.

Drake turns away. "There's a reason for that.... I wanted my own life, not the one you were leading me into. I'm not the killer you want me to be."

Sigurd shakes his head. "Which is regrettable, to say the least... I will be watching, though, Drake. At the slightest hint of weakness... I will regain you as my star pupil." he says, chuckling before turning and vanishing into the city's crowds.

Drake sighs in relief, then sits on the fountain to think.

"Well,well,well. So you weren't always the goody Reaver you are now."

Dorcha smiled down at Drake fully cloaked with his hood up perched on the very top of the fountain. He heard most of the conversation from the alley in which he entered the Plaza. He was surprised when he saw A mysteriously scary man talking to Drake.

"Hmm. Looks very bad, why did you stop learning from him?"

Drake glances up at him. "I do not see how it's your business... but he told me to kill someone I did not want to, to prove my loyalty. That someone is Maria. Instead of killing her, I vowed to protect her, thus disobeying Sigurd. I don't regret it, though."

"Hahahah. The preistess?! Well,well that is a surprise."
He hops down next to Drake surveying him with curious red eyes.
" Do you ever think that you'd be stronger had you proved your loyalty?"

"Unlike you... I do not need to be powerful to be happy, Dorcha. I would trade all the strength I've attained if it gave me one more second with Maria."

Dorcha smiles at Drake shaking his head in disappointment.
" If you give up you power, you wont be able to protectyour little priestess anymore. And now that I think about it, you both look oh so delicious."
He stares at Drake's face baring his teeth, waiting for his point to sink in.

Drake glares. "I won't be as forgiving as Rock." he growls, stadning to his full height, making Dorcha look much smaller than he actually was, Drake's aura becoming dark and intimidating enough to send a chill even up Dorcha's spine. "You so much as utter her name again, and you won't live long enough to hear the name come from your mouth."

Dorcha stares back at Drake calm as can be. He knows he'd lose in a fight with him. "I think you should relax. You wouldn't want to ruin your image right here in front of all these people, 'cause to them, I haven't done anything.You'd look like every villian you swore to keep from them." His smile getting even wider exposing both fangs. His eyes now a dull, bored brown.

"I don't care what they think of me. If it means keeping you from Maria... maybe I should destroy that whole guild of yours. Starting with that vampire you fancy."

" I dare you to try it. I bet someone there can beat you, dont be so cocky of your own abilities."

He glares at Drake clear dislike etched across his face. His left hand twitch as if he was ready to grab his keris.

Drake stands, walking towards the guild. "I am never one to turn down a dare." he says, shooting a glaance back at Dorcha.

Shock crosses Dorcha's face. He flashes over to Drake in an instant, grabbing his shoulder with his right hand. Reaching down with his other hand resting on his blade's sheathe.

"There is not a single reason for an unprovoked attack on the Underworld. So stand down."

"Unprovoked? That was a very obvious threat you made on my wife... and potentially, my unborn child... that's provocation enough. Plus, you 'daring' me is a DIRECT provocation. Understand?"

"Me 'daring' you is a simple expression oh mighty Reaver. You would be very wise to relax yourself, I may not be stronger than you but there will always be someone to fight you. Besides....this is the very weakness your former master spoke of."

His blade was now out but he was a few feet away, distancing himself just in case.

Drake's blade flashes out, the reverberation from his blade blasting Dorcha back before Drake sheathes his sword again. "You will never be stronger than I am." he says, walking towards his home.

Dorcha standing few back after that attack was writhing in pain, his face covered in his hands, smoke rising from his form.

"Aghh!! Dammit! When he hit me he knocked my hood back."

Blinded by the light he ran towards the nearest alleyway shoving people aside on the way. He reached the alley and slumped up against the wall. His face slowly returning to normal. He grimaced in pain.

"I now see why I must be extremely carful during the day. We will meet again Reaver, and your precious priestess will die...."

Suddenly Dorchais facedown with someone sitting on is back. "I heard the whole thing n' now ya' plannin' to kill a pregger lady? Maybe I should take down to the beach, see how fast ya tan." says Rock.
